Baa-daa-wee

01 Aug

A word we might use a lot in the future……..

There are possible plans underway to apply to the Oxford and Webster to include a new word for their 2009 dictionary:

*badawi* [baa-daa-wee] (/noun/): To start something full of promise but end in disappointment, failure and/or disaster.

Eg: ‘I’m trusting you to perform this task well; don’t do a badawi,ok?’

– Saya gelak guling-guling bila baca komen ini. Di dalam blog Tun M. Posted by someone with the name “justdoit”…hehehe…lawak…lawak…

Mungkin lepas ini, kalau future-husband saya berjanji pada saya;

“Sue, percayalah…saya janji saya sayang awak seorang saja…demi awak…saya sanggup bla…bla…bintang…bla…bulan…lautan api…bla..bla..”

Mungkin saya perlu tanya balik pada dia;

“Betul apa yang awak janji ni? Awak tak badawi dengan saya?”

Atau boleh juga dijadikan alasan untuk break-up bagi sesiapa yang dah bosan atau menyampah dengan bf/gf masing-masing:

Contoh: Bila pasangan kamu itu bertanya;

“Kenapa awak buat macam ni pada saya? Bukankah awak dah berjanji nak bersama-sama saya sampai bila-bila?”

Kamu bolehlah jawab begini;

“Sorrylah. Saya cuma berjanji badawi dengan kamu”

Hehe…;)
